The Rio carnival women opposing harassment - in pictures

Last year police in Rio received 2,154 calls about violence against women during the city's annual carnival. Women's groups say Brazil has a long way to go to address inequality and ingrained machismo, but they see the carnival as an opportunity to initiate dialogue about the problem. They have organised street parties where participants distribute stickers with slogans such as 'My breasts, my rules', 'No is no', and 'Grabbing me won't get you a kiss!'
